Yewaland Forum Honours Former Unilag Vice Chancellor, Prof. Bello

The Yewaland Development Forum (YDF), formerly Yewa Union, Lagos will on Saturday, February 3, 2018, hold a grand reception for the former Vice Chancellor of University of Lagos, Professor AbdulRahman Adisa Bello.

In a release signed by the Chairman Planning Committee of the programme, Sola Ibirinde, the grand reception will hold at Rotary Center Ladoke Akintola Crescent, Ikeja G.R.A, Lagos by 11am.

The Royal father of the day is His Royal Majesty the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount ruler of Yewaland, Oba Dr Kehinde Olugbenle while former Deputy Governor of Ogun State,  Alhaja Salmot Badru is the Chairperson of the day.

Former President of ICAN, Senator Felix Kola Bajomo will deliver a lecture titled “Ogun Project: Stemming the erosions of economic and political agitations of the underdeveloped West.”

Other eminent personalities expected are all BoT members, all governorship aspirants from Ogun West, all past and present legislators from Ogun West as well as notable captains of industry who are of Ogun west origin.

The release added that the Forum will use the opportunity to launch a Yewa Development Accelerated Project (YDAP) which is a strategic business initiative aimed at empowering the people of Yewaland and disseminate the culture and practices of Yewa people to the outside world.

One of the major projects to be embarked on is the Yewa TV, an online television channel to serve as a platform to discuss socio-economic and political issues of the district.
