White Man Lured Into Nigeria, Kidnapped BUT Police Foiled His Attempted Murdered

Four suspects who allegedly kill people and sell their body parts would be paraded Tuesday by the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Zone II, Adamu Ibrahim.

According to the zonal spokesperson, Superintendent of Police (SP) Dolapo Badmos, the suspects were arrested Tuesday by the Zonal Intervention Squad (ZIS) and would be paraded by 12 pm.

This is just as the zonal command Tuesday said it has arrested the suspect behind the attack on a foreign national who was seen in a viral social media video begging for his life.

In the video, which had vernacular speaking residents, it was alleged that the foreigner, whose identity has been given as Robert Wheelers, was attacked by a member of the suspected ritual gang, Badoo at Ikorodu.

Although the Lagos Police Command had denied any such incident occurred within its jurisdiction, Badmos Tuesday said the suspect, Leo Orabe, was arrested on September 8.

She stated that he clubbed the victim thrice on the head at his Adeniyi Street, Ikorodu residence at the wee hours of August 25.

It was gathered that the suspect, who worked with Wheelers at Tony Elumelu Foundation in 2015, picked him up at the airport and was to be his host till he returned to the United States.

Investigations further revealed that Orabe moved to kill the American for reneging on a promise to give him some money.

According to the police, Orabe lured the American to Nigeria and picked him up at the airport. He was to be his host till he returned to his country but he attempted to murder him.

While the victim was rushed to the hospital by detectives, who received a distress call, Orabe was said to have fled his residence but was arrested at his hideout on September 8, following a tip-off to police.

Badmos said: “The suspect confessed to the AIG that he clubbed the victim’s head with pestle three times. He said he did it because the Whiteman reneged on his promise to give him an unspecified amount of money.

“He claimed he has invested so much money in his effort to get the money from the American. That he even consulted a white garment church, where he was given the charm to use on the victim but it did not work.

He said he was deeply angered when the victim did not obey his instructions.

“Investigation is ongoing on the matter. The AIG has directed that no stone be left unturned in unraveling the case.”
