The Osun State House of Assembly has warned the Governing Council of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso not to jeopardise the existing relationship between the Oyo and Osun states as the co-ownership of the school.

This is sequel to the decision of the Governing Council to appoint an external Auditor for the institution which should have been appointed by Osun state government.

The Speaker, Dr. Najeem Salaam gave the warning during the budget defence by the school management in Oshogbo.

Represented by the Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Mr. Kamil Oyedele, the Speaker explained that the agreement between the two ownership states was to appoint external Auditor on rotational basis.

He urged the management of LAUTECH to adhere to the understanding between the two states in running the affairs of the institution.

The Speaker also directed all tertiary institutions in the state to ensure full automation of their revenue collection before the end of the first quarter of 2018.

Earlier, the school management led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Adeniyi Gbadegesin had presented a total estimates of 5.46 billion naira as the institution budget estimates for 2018.
