Brig Gen Zakari Sule Kazaure, NYSC Director General (DG) has advised Corps members against keeping late night when they get to their places of primary assignment.
The DG gave the advice on Sunday night when he visited the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp at Yikpata, Edu local government of the state.
Kazaure also admonished the corps members to also travel in day time and not in the night whenever they wish to embark on a journey.
He appealed to them to always seek permission before they travel out of their places of primary assignments.
The DG said his visit to the camp was to commiserate with all corps members and the entire camp officials on the death of a female corps member last Thursday.
Gen Kazaure implored the corps members to avail themselves of the various skill acquisition programs during the orientation in order for them to be able to start a business after the service year.
According to the DG, white collar jobs are no longer readily available for corps members after completing their service, hence the need to take the skill acquisition program very seriously.
He commiserated with all corps members, NYSC and camp officials on the death of the female corps member, praying God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Speaking with journalists later, the DG said all corps members mobilized for national service has life insurance policy.
He, therefore, expressed optimism that the Federal Government will pay compensation to the family of the deceased corps member.
The DG said it was the responsibility of state governments to provide and maintain facilities at the various orientation camps across the country.
He appealed to Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed to assist in uplifting the facilities at the Yikpata camp.
Kazaure expressed his happiness that the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki was at the camp and promised to provide more facilities to the camp.
Earlier, the State Coordinator, Mr Remignius Amaefule, in his welcome address told the DG that the visit would be devoid of the usual ceremony like cultural display, Tug of War and March
Pass because of the entire camp was in mourning period.
The DG however donated a cow to the corps members for their camp fire night.
