NSCDC: Man, 28, Nabbed For Kidnap, Rape of Minor in Ilorin

The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC has arrested one Bello Muhammed, 28 for kidnapping and sexually assaulting his victim while being held captive.

This was contained in a release signed by the command’s public relations officer, and made avaịlable to the newsmen.

In a release made available to the press in llorin on Monday by the Command’s spokeperson, Babawale Zaid Afolabi, the Kidnapper, Muhammed conspired with two other suspects, still at large, to kidnap a 15 year old Hajarat Ibraheem of llale village, Oke Ero in Irepodun local government area of the State.

According to the release, “They dragged the victim to the bush tied her hand and raped her severally.”

” On Thursday 05/08/2021, one Yakubu Kelani, 50, came to the NSCDC office in Omu Aran to report that his 15 years old daughter was kidnapped on her way to fetch water on the 29th July, 2021.

” The suspect was taken into the bush where he was reportedly raped severally by her abductors who later got in touch with the family of the girl demanding for the sum of 15 million naira as ransom”. Babawale narrated.

The kidnapper reportedly took certain amount of ransom paid by the victim’s family who later released the victim.

However, luck ran out of one of the abductors, Bello Muhammed as he was picked up by local vigilante at Kara market, Ajase lpo and handed him over to the operatives of the NSCDC.

During the interrogation, Muhammed confessed to have committed the crime with his two accomplices who are still at large.

Meanwhile, operatives of the NSCDC are on the trail of Umar Abubakar from Ajase lpo and one Babuga( other name not available) who are both on the run.

The release added that the Commandant NSCDC kwara state command Iskilu Ayinla Makinde haven been briefed of the incident has ordered for immediate manhunt for the other two suspects while the suspects will be charged to court at the completion of the investigations.
