Nigeria Prisons Service Promotes 196 Officers

Kebbi State Command of the Nigeria Prisons Service (NPS) has promoted196 Officers for meritorious service.

The Comptroller of Prisons in the state, Sani Potiskum who decorated the promoted officers in Birnin Kebbi Thursday said the promotion was to motivate the officers for effective service delivery.

 

Potiskum urged the newly promoted officers to uphold diligence and dedication to service.

 

“All officers elevated should stand out in the discharge of their duties, be dedicated and committed to service.

 

“You should also reciprocate the gesture with discipline, hard work and vigilance,” he said.

 

The Commissioner of Police,Mr. Ibrahim M.Kabiru, represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mr. John O Amadi urged the promoted officers to see their promotions has new challenge to render best service to the NPS.

 

While responding behalf of other promoted officers, Deputy Comptroller of Prison, Mamuda Mato, promised that he and his colleagues will be more dedicated to duty and make the command proud as well as the Nigeria Prison Service.

 

Mato gave the assurance that the officers would live up to expectations in the discharge of their responsibilities saying “we commend the NPS for allowing some of us to advance in education and the career.”
