A Non-Governmental Organization has stressed the need for government to show concern in the activities of rural dwellers and to make them have sense of belongings.
The Executive Director Grass Root Initiative, a Non-Governmental Organisation Dr Khadijat Kehinde Kadiri made this assertion during a courtey call on the correspondent chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalist Ilorin the Kwara state capital
She explained that she came into the NGO as a means of doing her little best in harnessing resources towards bettering the life of the poor but stressed that government at all levels need to make it a priority in looking into the pressing needs of rural dwellers and construct technical schools for them.
Khadijat said that with the provision of technical education , mechanized farming and other pressing needs in rural area, they would have sense of belongings, stressing that government should not concentrate on urban sector alone.
The NGO coordinator who said her mission is to improve the welfare of the grass root and provide voice for the voiceless said that she recognize the limitation of government in bettering the live of the people adding that some touched by her NGO includes Maleria campaign, erection of bore holes, distribution of cloths and shoes, reconstruction of dilapidated home, scholarship to pupils in primary and secondary schools, food materials clothing and shoes to the less privileged through the assistance gotten from of people on her social media followers, who also gave water project on their own volition.
She also stressed the ingenuity of her photographic approach the stories through pictures, thereby soliciting the support of people out there to help those in rural areas.
Kadiri who lectures in the mass communications department said stressed the need for well meaning Nigerians to come to the aid of the less privileged in the society as a way of making life better for them.
