NANS commends police for achieving feat in release of Redeemed Pastor

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has commended the Nigeria Police Force for achieving feat in the release of the recent kidnapping of five persons including a Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) pastor.

 

Mr Adeyemi Azeez, National Public Relations Officer of the association gave the commendation in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Monday.

 

Azeez also thanked the Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu, for giving the people of Ogun state,  an intelligent police officer to man policing in the gateway state.

Pastor of the RCCG rescued from Kidnapper

“The National Secretariat of our great association National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has received with great joy the news of the rescue of five kidnapped victims amongst who there is a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God .

 

“Reports has it that the five abducted persons were kidnapped at the J3, Ogbere Ijebu-Ode stretch of  Lagos-Ore expressway in Ogun State on August 1 and taken to the forest by the abductors.

 

“Barely 48 hours after the victims were taken away, the battle-ready police officers led by the intelligent Commissioner of police, CP Bashir  Makama gave the evil perpetrators a hot chase and eventually rescued the five persons unhurt.”

 

He also commended the students’ leaders for the synergy with the Nigeria Police as the association could now boost of the safety of students across  Ogun state.

 

He, however, called other police bosses in the rest 35 states of the country to emulate Ogun CP so as to be on top of security issues in their respective states.
