The national Chairman, Bola Ahmed Tinubu Solidarity Vanguard, BATSV, Dr. Dare Owotomobi made passionate appeals to Nigeria on the need for compliance with medical advice and proactive steps in preventing the spread of the virus.
In a press release made available to our correspondent through Dr. Babatunde Salami, Director, Media and Publicity, Office of the National Chairman, ,Dr. Owotomobi describes Coronavirus pandemic as a global medical challenge, lamenting the rate of spread of the virus all over the world.
He expressed worries that the menace is worse than HIV/AIDS therefore appealing that everybody should be more proactive in preventing the virus.
The BATSV Chairman urges everybody to comply with medical and government advice such as maintaining social distance with people, abiding with stay at home policy, educating others in preventive measures such as: Covering mouth when coughing or sneezing among others.
The national chairman warns that a price will be paid for disobedience to medical experts and the constituted authorities on the global challenge.
Dr. Owotomobi used the medium to pray for the speedy recovery of the persons infected with the virus while also sending condolences to the family of those who had died of the ailment while also assuring that the APC led Federal government is capable of combating the dreadful disease.
Finally, National Chairman, Dr Owotomobi appeals to all members of BATSV, nationwide and Nigerians in general to desist from activities and actions that could further aid in the spread of corona virus while also urging them to remain steadfast and focused despite the global health crisis.
The National Chairman advises members of his group not to compromise the mission and vision of BATSV.
