Representatives from each of the five local government areas in the zone who were part of the meeting spoke on the plight of Kwara North expressed unanimous position, discrediting self-serving leaders for misplacing priorities of the area.
According to the Press Release, the zone delivered an average of 82% of total votes from the area in 2019 general elections, adding that the region is not in contest with anybody or group of persons either within or outside the senatorial district.
The elder’s council emphasized that equity and fair play in sharing of political offices remain the only key for building an all-inclusive government which the Governor-Elect Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq is seen to be championing.
APC Northern elders said that getting the highly coveted Ministerial slot and SSG, the group noted would inject meaningful life into the area.
