Kwara First Lady reiterates support for Wives of NSCDC Officers

Charges parents to pay more attention to children to avoid prevalence of drug menace in the Society

Wife of Kwara State Governor, Dr. Mrs. Olufolake Abdulrazaq  has pledge her support to the association of wives of officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in the state.

Dr. AbdulRazaq made this commitment when wives of officers of Civil Defence Officers in the state paid her a courtesy visit on Saturday at the Kwara State Government house, Ilorin.

Her Excellency reiterated her readiness to give the necessary support to the association’s objectives and promised to carry the association along in all her programmes associating with in the First Lady’s programs and events.

She further charged members of the association as well as members of the public to monitor their children especially on the menace of drug usage and abuse which she said had become a menace in our society.

Earlier in her opening address, Mrs. Adeyinka Fasiu, leader of the team of NSCDC wives association  in Kwara  Command has seized the opportunity of the visit to acquaint Her Excellency about the activities of her association by way of introduction after which she spoke about  its  aims and objectives.

Mrs Fasiu stated the aims of the association to include;  “Assisting our husbands spiritually, financially,  Training our children with morals and some life building skills, engaging ourselves in vocational skills acquisition among other objectives.”

The wife of the state commandant thereafter sought  the support of the first lady in arrears of empowerment and skills acquisition while she prayed and wish the Governor Alhaji AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman and his wife, Her Excellency a successful tenure in office.
