Kwara 2019: APC Governorship Candidate Promises New Lease of Life, as Yahman Justifies Suspension of CJN

The Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in Kwara State, Alhaji AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq has promised a new lease of life if elected as the state Governor in the forthcoming polls.

Abdulrahman gave the assurance during his campaign tour of Moro Local Government Area in continuation of APC Campaign to the 16 LGAs of the state.

The Governorship hopeful who had earlier visited Patigi and Edu LGAs last weekend promised to facilitate better welfare and even distribution of resources to the nooks and crannies of the State.

He also pledged to accord traditional institutions their rightful place if APC emerged victorious in the coming polls.

He said his government would abolish local government joint account with a view to making LGAs functional at the grassroots.

He listed employment generation via Agriculture and turnaround of Kwara economy as other areas he would give priority.

Reacting to question from journalists the ongoing to trial and the suspension of the embattled Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen, the former governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, Shuaib Yaman Advised that as the head of the judiciary, he should resign to lay good precedence with a view to stimulating reforms in the judicial system.

He emphasized that President Buhari has done the needful by suspending CJN adding that he (the CJN) has the liberty to approach the Court to seek redress if he feels dissatisfied in the action.

 

The campaign tour was a huge success as thousands of supporters defy the late night and patiently waited till the campaign team arrived with the Governorship hopeful.
