Joint Security Colaboration: Airforce Commander Pays Courtesy Call On Customs Kwara Area Command

The collaborative effort between security agencies and the Customs Service gets a boost as the newly posted Commander, 303 Medium Airlift Group Nigerian Air Force, Ilorin Kwara State, Air Commodore I. V Ajiboye on Tuesday paid a courtesy call on the Customs Area Controller, Kwara Area Command Comptroler. Hussaini Bello Ahmed, fsi.

Commodore Ajiboye reiterated the long standing relationship and understanding between Nigeria Customs Service and Nigerian Air Force while expressing the desire to further promote the cordial relationship between the two sister agencies.

The Commodore said this as part of his opening remarks,  as he expressed pleasure at the warm reception accorded him and his entourage while he further stated that Nigeria Customs Service is now a live wire of the country’s economy in terms of revenue generation despite Covid- 19 and its attendant lockdown of the economy.

Responding, the Customs Area Controller congratulated Commodore Ajiboye on his appointment and promised to sustain the usual cooperation between the sister agencies while also giving an assurance to strengthen the collaboration, citing the recent involvement of some Air Force personnel who apprehended some suspected smuggled vehicles and handed them over to the Command.

 

He crowned up his remarks by reiterating that the existing relationship between Customs Service and the Air Force will continue to wax stronger as the agencies all work towards the same goal of securing the Nation.
