Ibagun Community Intensifies Awareness Campaign on COVID-19

The need to strictly adhere to COVID-19 antidotes as the total lockdown order announced by the state government has been stressed to the people of Ibagun ward in Ilorin East local government area of Kwara state.


The chairman of Ibagun Progressive Union, IPU, Alh Kuranga Morogun who made the appeal in a statement made available to our correspondents said total that compliance with the lockdown order becomes imperative in order to forestall the spread of corona virus in the area and the state at large.


” I wish to call on all members of the union  to collectively key into community advocacy, enlighten our people on the need to comply with  the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s directive on total lockdown, social distancing and the rules of hygiene,” Morogun stated.


Kuranga hailed the governor’s unique approach to the corona virus pandemic in the state, noting that his directive on total lockdown is the magic wand for the present low record of COVID-19 cases in the state.


He added: “The Union is happy wtih the dynamic  manner the State Technical Committee on COVID-19 led by the Deputy Governor Kayode Alabi has handled the curtailment so far. We are convinced your purposeful leadership and spontaneous reaction has led to no death cases of coronavirus patients in the state.”
