Gov  Ahmed, House Speaker Felicitates Kwarans on New Year

 

The Kwara State Governor, Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed  and the Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ali Ahmad has expressed new year wishes to all citizens of the State wishing them a joyous and prosperous new year.

 

 

Governor Ahmed in a statement made available to news correspondents by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Muyideen Akorede prays  for fulfilled hopes and expectations  with greater accomplishments in the new year.

 

Dr Ahmed also solicits prayers for continued peace in the State and the country as a whole. He urges the people to join him in rededicating  themselves to achieving collective aspirations for a better Kwara State and restates his commitment to elevating the state and it’s people.

 

He commends all citizens and residents for their resilience and appreciates their support for his administration despite the challenges faced by individuals and families in the outgone year.

 

While acknowledging the difficulties experienced in 2016, Governor Ahmed expresses optimism that the challenges facing the state will soon end and pledges prompt service delivery to the people of the State. He assures that ongoing infrastructure and other people oriented projects will be co to develop the state and uplift individuals, families and businesses in the state.

In a different press release containing his new year message to Nigerians issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Shuaib Abdulkadir, the Kwara House Speaker, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ali Ahmad also congratulated Nigerians for the new year, emphasizing the need to come together for the purpose of overcoming the present challenges facing the nation.

‎The Speaker challenged the Federal Government to explore every available means to get the country out of recession, noting that it is achievable in no distant time.

Ahmad expressed his belief in the present administration’s efforts and commitment to ‎make things better for the country, calling on Nigerians not to relent in prayers and support to enable it achieve its objectives for the country.

The Speaker also admonished Nigerians to continue living harmoniously with one another irrespective of their ethnicity, religious or political affiliation in order to ‎move forward as an entity.

He further reiterated the State House of Assembly’s commitment ‎to the people’s welfare and specifically pledged to continue to strive for Kwarans wellbeing.
