FOMWAN Congratulate Muslims as Ramadan Takes off

The Hajia Rafiah Sanni led Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN) congratulates Muslims across the Globe on the holy month of Ramadan, the fasting season of the Muslims.

In a press release jointly signed by Hajia Rafiah Sanni, the National Amirah and Alhaja Maimuna Momodu the             National Publicity Relations Officer, the holy month of  is described as increasing opportunity for spiritual upliftment and supplication for Divine intervention on the security challenges, spiritual support for our leaders and other requests.

Hajia Rafiah added that the month of Ramadan is a season for self reflection during which Muslims are enjoined to observe fast for self reflection and purification of the heart. “A fasting Muslims shuns food, drink and worldly fulfilment from dawn till dusk, throughout the fasting days.”

Meanwhile, the Association appeal to all insurgents, agents of destruction and evil machineries to shun all form of vices and embrace peace in the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan.

Hajia Rafiah also appealled to all market women to ensure sales and purchases are carried out in the fear of Allah by earning reward and not compound the financial tension and other economic challenges starring the Nation in the face.

FOMWAN enjoined Muslims to remain steadfast and uphold the regular 5 Daily prayers, increase charity, night prayer and regular reading of the Holy Qur’an and participating in other rewarding activities, reduce interactions with the social media in order to have full focused time with Almighty Allah.

In a related development, the Kwara Chapter of FOMWAN also sent their greetings to Muslims across the globe.

In the statement jointly signed by Hajia Nihma Labaika, State Amirah  and Hajia Biliqees M. Oladimeji, the  State Vice Chairman, the Association while felicitating with all Muslims on the arrival of the Holy month of Ramadan  urge Muslims to directs their spiritual activities toward addressing insecurity and all form of abduction in the Nation praying for divine intervention and safe return of all abductees as well as end to the carnage.

FOMWAN kwara state appealed to the Federal and state Government to reinvigorate efforts in securing life and property of Residents.

The Association also enjoined Muslims to remain steadfast and reduce interactions with the social media in order to have full focused Time with Almighty Allah.

As part of intervention, FOMWAN Kwara state invites all Muslim women in the state to A SPECIAL PRAYER FOR THE NATION which comes up Saturday, 2nd of April 2022 at the FOMWAN Secretariat, Fate road Ilorin.

The statement added that the prayer will feature complete recitation of the Holy Qur’an and other supplication for the return of peace and security back to our Nation.
