Crises In Niger PDP, Suspended Deputy Chairman May Defect To APC

The crises in the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Niger State seems deepening as the Deputy Chairman Alhaji Aminu Yussuf has been reportedly suspended.

.

According to a source, the decision, to suspend Yusuf  was taken at an emergency meeting of the state working committee held at the party’s secretariat in Minna on Friday.

 

A statement signed by the State Secretary of the Party Alhaji Abdullahi Santali and made available to  the media said Aminu Yussuf was found guilty of all the allegations brought against him by the Wushishi local government area of the party and the Niger North Senatorial district.

 

Some of the complaints and allegations leveled against  Yussuf were: “gross misconduct, anti party activities and engaging in conducts unbecoming of a party executive”.

 

According to Santali’s statement: “that Alhaji Aminu Yussuf the state Deputy Chairman is hereby suspended from office to allow for investigations of complaints against him, ” That the complaints against Alhaji Aminu Yussuf be referred to the disciplinary Committee of the party for investigation “.

 

The party scribe also reminded its members that ” no member is above the law and that every member should strive to adhere to the rules and regulations of the party with a view to improving its fortunes in the state”.

 

Alhaji Aminu Yussuf is yet to make any official response  over all allegation but a source loyal to Yusuf said the suspended PDP chieftain might to defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress in protest.
