An entrepreneur has advised government at all levels to continue to come up with youths friendly measures and policies for them to channel their energy to the right path and positively engaged.
Abdulganiyi Akorede Zakaryyah, the Cheif Exercise Officer Akorecome Global Nigeria Limited stated this on Friday at a press conference tagged: ‘Taming the Menace of Cybercrime in Nigeria’ A case study of CHY mall e-commerce Business held in Ilorin the Kwara State capital.
At the public lecture aimed at educating youths on revolutionary path towards a legal and legitimate business via internet which would go a long way in making Nigerians self reliance.
“The tremendous improvement in Information Communication Technology (ICT), has opened various opportunities and contributed to economic growth for countries. ICT has greatly enhanced human capacity including multinational companies to do their businesses at the comfort of their homes,” he said.
Zakaryyah observed that government alone can not solve the problem of unemployment in Nigeria that partnering with entrepreneurs is the way to go and the sky being the limit for the youths when empowered.
He lamented that while many people are operating the system legitimately to improve their skills, businesses and financial status, some misguided youths have devised various means of defrauding people online
Zakaryyah, who noted that the negative trend of in online business activities leading to Cybercrime, needed to be proactively addressed.
