Christmas Is The Celebration of Gods Provision For Mankind, Akinsanya: Kwara Speaker Celebrates With Christians

The Resident Pastor, Living Faith Church, Gaa Imam, Ilorin Israel Akinsanya has lamented that many people even so called Christians do not understand the meaning and essence of Christmas but chose to celebrate it just the way it appears to them.
Delivering his sermon at the state headquarters of living faith Church aka Winners Assembly, Gaa Imam , Akinsanya said that Christmas is not just to celebrate and commit sins in the name of celebration but rather a period to reflect on the essence of the season.
The State Pastor said that many people save a fortune from January to December purposely to be able to celebrate Christmas while some others engage in exotic outings with their children in the name of celebrating Christmas. He said though expressing happiness is not a bad idea but the season is meant to allow people reflect on the essence of the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ for mankind.
Akinsanya said that one is bound to misuse a thing if the purpose is not well defined or known to the user adding that Christmas enumerates the humble birth of Jesus Christ and consequently the need for mankind to be humble in their conduct and as well know that man fell apart from God through sin and that Jesus came to bridge the gap and reconcile man to God.
The evidently joyous man of God said that we have every reason to appreciate God’s provision for mankind by living our lives for him to glorify his name.
Pastor Akinsnaya said that human beings owe God a duty of appreciation and worshiping him in return for more of his favours adding that this is the real reason God created man.
He added that true Christians operate under a different heaven of God’s mercy reflecting on the church’s team of the year stating that their case is different. “If you agree with me that My Case is Different, your case shall definitely be different because we are not affected by things that affect the generality of the people. When other are saying there is a casting down, you shall be saying there is a lifting up, when other are complaining of famine, you shall be living in plenty because our case is different.”
Meanwhile the Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ali Ahmad has felicitated with Christians in the country as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, urging them to use the festive season to pray fervently for the nation to overcome its present challenges.
The Speaker, in a Christmas message issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Shuaib Abdulkadir also called on Christians to continue living harmoniously with adherents of other religions.
Ahmad said while celebrating, Christians must never forget the essence and lessons of Christmas by always reflecting on the teachings of the Messiah who paid the ultimate price for mankind’s benefit with his life.
He ‎further admonished them to mould their lives after Jesus Christ, show love to people around them and be their brothers keepers at all times.
The Speaker however reiterated the 8th Assembly’s commitment to Kwarans welfare and pledged to further collaborate with the Executive in order to make the State a cynosure of all eyes.
