A member of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Aminah Salako-Adekunle is set to make a public presentation of her book “Lest We Forget: Kwara Political Revolution, A Broadcaster’s Personal Account”.
According to a release made available by the Book Launch Committee, the book launch holds on December 15th, 2021 at the African Peoples Hall, Onikanga GRA Ilorin.
The book, “Lest We Forget: Kwara Political Revolution, A Broadcaster’s Personal Account is a compendium of the first political radio programme in Kwara State since the build up to the 2015 general elections, and played a crucial role in the 2019 O to ge Revolution.
The Author of this book, Aminah Salako – Adekunle is the Anchor of the weekly popular political programme on Radio “APC GBODE” on Radio Nigeria Harmony FM, Idofian , documents the interesting events on the programme and political developments in the state since 2015 till this moment, for lovers of history, students of Political Science, History and Mass Communication to learn the intermix between politics and media, particularly the power of Radio in the Society.
Several dignitaries will grace the occasion some of who are prominent royal fathers, politicians and journalists in Kwara and Nigeria as a whole.
His Excellency the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Mallam Saliu Mustapha, Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo, LAK Jimoh, Yahaya Seriki, Emir Ilorin, Radio Nigeria DG to unveil Book is expected to be the Chief Guest of Honour at the book launch.
The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi, Esuwoye 11, Ajagungbade1 and Oluwo of Iwo will be among royal fathers of the day while the Director General, Federal Radio Corporation, FRCN will also grace the occassion.
