BREAKING: Midnight Fire Raze Down Omuaran Main Market, 7 Shops Affected, Fire Service Intervention timely

The popular Omu-Aran Main Market, Kwara State was razed down by an early morning inferno which started at about 2:00am midnight.

 

The incident which torched about seven shops badly burnt was brought under control by the swift intervention of the Kwara Fire Service, Omuaran.

In a release sent on behalf of the state director, Kwara Fire Service, to our correspondent the by the Head, Media and Publicity of the service, Hassan Hakeem Adekunle  the early intervention of the Kwara Fire Service saved the day.

“Immediately the Kwara State Fire Service arrived, the fire was quickly put under control. This audacious performance of the Brigade has really made the entire people of Omu-Aran town to enjoy and appreciate Kwara State Fire Service job even more.”

Sources suspected electric spark from an unknown shop in the environment might have been responsible for the fire but thank God that the people were able to reach the Fire Brigade on time before the fire got escalated.

“About seven shops were reportedly affected out of two hundreds and thirty shops in the vicinity. The cause of fire outbreak was as a result of an electric spark in one of the affected shops.”

The release added that further investigations is ongoing into the remote and other causes of the fire incident, advising that Kwarans need to observe routine domestic caution before leaving offices and shops such as switching of electrical appliance at the close of business daily to ward off un expected fire outbreak as this.
