BREAKING: Gun Men Abduct FourTurkish Expatriates In Kwara, Gov Calls for Calm

A Six- man gun wielding gang of suspected criminals had reportedly abducted four Turkish expatriates working with Instabul Concrete Limited, in Gbale village,  Edu LG area of Kwara State.

The incidence according to sources occurred at about 10pm Saturday night while the men were having fun at the local joint in the village.

The victims of the abduction are simply identified as Yasin Colak (33), Senerapal (40), Ergun Yurdakul (35) and Seyit Keklik (25).

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ajayi Okasanmi confirmed the incidence but hinted Commissioner of Police  Ag. CP Kayode  Egbetokun has dispatched teams of operation Puff Adder to comb the area and ensure immediate rescue, alive of the expatriates and to arrest the suspeted hoodlums.

He added that the efforts of the police is beginning to yield positive results but did not confirm if any arrest had been made so far.

Meanwhile, Kwara State governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has called for calm following the unfortunate abduction of some Turkish Nationals in Edu local government area of the state.

“The Governor is working closely with the security agencies to ensure prompt rescue of the expatriates. The Governor urges the people to go about their normal and lawful businesses and not to entertain any fear, as doing so may embolden the criminals behind the development,” according to a statement by his press secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye.
