The Kwara State Governor, Abdulrasaq Abdulrahman, has approved the sum of Two Hundred Million Naira (N200M) counterpart funding for the take off of Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Projects phase 111.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Transport, Dr. Yusuf Garba Manjo, disclosed this in his office shortly after receiving the approval documents from the Governor.
Manjo, who described Governor Abdulraham as “a man of few words but more of action”, commended the Governor for his sheer commitment to turning things around within a few weeks of inauguration.
He noted that the Governor has been facilitating projects that will immensely benefit the masses since his assumption of office, saying that His Excellency’s body language is a practical demonstration of sincere service to the masses and fulfilment of his electioneering promises.
Dr. Manjo who added that with the new government of Mallam Abdulrahman, the people of Kwara will now begin to feel the climate of genuine governance while he also urged Kwarans to exercise patience with the administration as the Governor is actively alive to the crusade to revamp all the deteriorating sectors in the state.
While receiving the approval documents from the Governor, Dr. Manjo was accompanied by the Director, Civil Engineering Department of the Ministry, Engr. Biliaminu Folorunsho, as they both expressed appreciation towards the Governor, stating that the time has come for Kwarans to rejoice and benefit dividends of democracy and good governance.
