The stage is set for the state congress of the All Progressive Congress, (APC), in Kwara state, a programme that will run simultaneously across the federation on Saturday.
Addressing Journalists at a press briefing at the APC secretariat on Friday, leader of the committee Senator , Saliu Husseini expressed his teams readiness to conduct a free, transparent, credible and acceptable state congress of the party in Ilorin the Kwara State capital.
Husseini said that exercise which will take place at the State banquet Hall shall be democratic and all-inclusive taking into consideration all interests in the party.
Responding to a question on rumours of an alleged parallel congress, the law maker debunked any such plans adding that a far as he knows, there is no party member that had written to express any dissatisfaction in the party formation.
He maintained that there are laid down rules for expression of grievances and that he will ensure strict adherence to the rules of the game as laid down by the party constitution.
