The National Chairman of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Uche Secondus, has described the All Progressives Congress, APC, as a broken government and a party, who had failed the entire citizens of Nigeria.
Secondus, said the PDP will defect the APC in any election, urging the party supporters in Ekiti State to come out en-mass and vote for the party’s candidate in the local government election slated for Saturday, so that the APC would be disgraced in the 2018 governorship
election.
According to the chairman, the PDP would conduct free, fair and transparent primary henceforth in the country, for the governorship, senate and the House of Representatives members, adding that election would no longer be “I want to buy” type of election.
Chief Secondus told the people that the policy direction of the National Working Committee, NEW of the PDP, is to return power to the people, saying the people would take power and take the decision themselves without anybody changing it.
He said Ekiti State is a lucky state having Governor Ayodele Fayose, with all the infrastructural development such as the flyover, the new Governor’s Office, High Court complex and many others in the state.
He, however caution the ruling APC, to stop arresting some stakeholders in the country, adding the more your arrest them, the more they became popular in the country.
Addressing the crowd at the Matthew Junction, Governor Fayose, said the APC would be disgraced in Ekiti , during all elections in the state. He called on the PDP members to come out and vote for the party’s candidates in the local government election.
Fayose noted: “we are set to take over Nigeria. We deserved to be President in Nigeria again. We are set to go to the Villa” “The local government election on Saturday, we are ready and we are even prepared for the 2018 governorship election”.
The National Chairman of the PDP, later presented party flags to all the standard bearers of the party in the local government election at the rally.
