Acting I-G Returns Franks Mba As FPRO

The acting Inspector-General of Police, I-G, Mr   Mohammed Adamu has re-appointed Assistant Commissioner of Police, Frank Mba as the new Force Public Relations Officer.

The Deputy Force spokesman, CSP Aremu Adeniran, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.

Adeniran said the posting was with immediate effect.

He takes over from acting DCP Moshood Jimoh who is being redeployed to other national assignments.

Until his appointment, Mba was at the Special Fraud Unit (SFU), Ikoyi- Lagos.

The new spokesman studied law at the University of Lagos and a Masters Degree in Law from the University of Dundee, Scotland- United Kingdom.

He also holds a Certificate in National and International Security from the Harvard University, USA.

Mba was a former police spokesman both at the Headquarters and Lagos State Command.

Adeniran said that Mba has been charged by the I-G to bring his wealth of experience to bear in revamping the image of the Force.

He was a member of the Nigeria Police Contingent to the United Nations Peace-Keeping Mission in Liberia between 2006 and 2007.

The police spokesman, who hails from Ezimo in Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State, was the best graduating cadet inspector in academics at the Police Academy, Kano, in 1993.

He passed through the police hierarchies till his promotion as Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1999, Deputy Superintendent of Police in 2003, Superintendent of Police in 2006 and Chief Superintendent of Police in 2012.
