48 Quranic School Graduates Get Scholarship To Study In Egypt Varsity

About 48 students of the Darul Kitab Wa Sunnah College of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Ilorin have been offered admission for further studies at the Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt  as a result of their excellent performance in the course of studying in the school.

This was made known during the school’s 2019 graduation ceremony on Saturday at the school premises by Proprietor of the College, Dr. AbdulKadir Salman Oba-Solagberu, of the institution.

He disclosed that 800 students graduated across the various levels of Diploma, Senior Secondary School  Junior Secondary School and Primary school respectively.

He stressed the need for parents and guardians to compliment the efforts of teachers of Arabic and Islamic education by giving needed support to the students as a way for them to grow up and contribute meaningfully to the society.

Oba-Solagberu also assured that he will continue to do his best to contribute to societal development through Arabic and Islamic education even as harped on the efforts of completing the ongoing Darul Kitab University, Agbeyangi-Ilorin.

Also speaking at the occasion, a Khadi at the Kwara State Sharia Court of Appeal, Justice Abdullateef Kamaldeen, advised government at all levels to support teachings and learning of Arabic and Islamic education in order to curb the persisting insecurity and other social vices in across the nation.

He added that the knowledge of the Quran will enhance the harmonious working relationship between Muslims and non-Muslims towards promoting nation-building, growth and development in the society.
