The Speaker, Kwara state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi Salihu has joined Kwarans pouring encomiums on the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Traditional Council, His Royal Highness, Alh. Dr. Ibrahim Zulu Gambari on the occasion of his 24th Anniversary celebration as the Emir of Ilorin.
In a statement made available to journalists in Ilorin at the weekend by his Special Assistant on Media, Ibrahim Sheriff the speaker, Hon. Danladi said: “on behalf of the 9th Kwara state House of Assembly, I felicitate with the good people of Ilorin, the entire Ilorin Emirate Council and Kwara State Traditional Council on the 24th coronation anniversary of our father, the Emir of Ilorin.”
“Your Royal Highness, it is noteworthy to emphasize that Ilorin and Kwara state has witnessed tremendous development, peace and harmonious coexistence during your reign as the Emir and we wish to say that the traditional institution which you Chair, is instrumental to the progress Kwara state have made, so far. We say thank you for all that you do, while imploring you to continue being a father that you are to us all.”
“As a parliament, we reassure you of our openness to guidance, advise and collaboration from the traditional institutions in the State for the greater good of the people”, Danladi said.
The Speaker also extends his greetings to Muslim faithful in Kwara state and across the world on the occasion of the 1441 Id el Maulud celebration, which marks the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The Gwanara born lawmaker charges Muslim faithful on peace, love, courage, patience, sacrifice, perseverance, generosity, humility, sincerity, and above all putting others first, which he describes as the virtues of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
