A Presidential aspirant of the People’s Redemption Party, PRP, Professor Mahmoud Muhibeedeen Aliyu has advised youths aspiring for political positions to be ready to cohabit with experienced hands in the country and never think the stage can be left for them prematurely.
Aliyu who made this statement at the NUJ Press Centre in Ilorin on Saturday during his declaration to run for Presidency come 2019 said he is aware that youths are becoming restive about taking over the political space from the old politicians stated that in the early days of politics in Nigeria, youths were at the forefront of agitations and as principal actors.
The Presidential aspirant said that youths in those days had their fair share of the whole deal and despite their level of intelligence they were subject of limitations adding that for there to be a balance today, youths with good sense of patriotism should be ready to parley with experienced politicians to be able to paddle the canoe of the nation aright.
Earlier in his declaration address, Professor Aliyu promised to create a sense of value for human life as against the level of insecurity going on in the country with daily killings.
The PRP Presidential aspirant promised that part of what he would strive to do was to ensure power returns to the people of this nation in that they would have say in the governance of the country under him and that there would be an improvement to the economy of the nation.
He made a commitment to returning the country back to true federation and liberates her from all forms of imperialism adding that his party , PRP is a commoners party fashioned after the old styled way in which the party was run in the olden day when majority of its members are the masses of this country.
The Presidential aspirant said that his government will not look at corruption as an issue but will seek to put an end to all elements that cause corruption to thrive by placing the workers under conducive working atmosphere but making all public servants declare their assets, monitor them at work and put an end to wasteful salary system.
