His two parents, both from Obatiwajoye and Asalofa Compounds respectively are devout Muslims.

His industrious nature, commitment to duty, and amiable personality endeared him to the hierarchy of the Federal Housing Authority, who rewarded him with an employment in 1991 which he honored and was posted to Lagos.

After few years of working in Lagos, he became exposed to business as commonly is in Lagos, tendered his resignation to seek greener pastures in the business of buying and selling of rice, sugar, salt and cement. Because God, the author of destiny is merciful, Mufutau Gbadamosi became successful in business and became the Chairman of MB Integrated Electrical and Data Services Limited. He also diversified business and delved into poultry farming and established Zarm Poultry and Feed mill industry, Lagos. Zarm Poultry stands as the biggest of such business in Lagos. The Dangote Offa as he was popularly called is married to his beautiful wife, Alhaja Misitura Gbadamosi, also known as ‘Erinlakatabu’ and blessed with wonderful children.

On the 9th of May, 2010, Alhaji Mufutau Gbadamosi was installed as the 24th Olofa of Offa by the then government of Dr Bukola Sarak, Governor of Kwara State following the recommendation by Kingmakers of Offa and subject to ratification and recommendation by the Kwara State Traditional Council. Since then his nomenclature and title became, His Royal Majesty, Oba Mufutau Muhammed Oloyede Gbadamosi, Okikiola Esuwoye II of the Anilelerin Ruling House Offa. His ascension did not come easy, some of his brothers from a rival ruling house, Olugbense contested the seat with him in a legal battle that lasted six years.

There were politics and intrigues which played out during the six year running battle as though his installation was upheld at a High Court in Ilorin, he lost the appeal at an upper court whose judgment dethroned Gbadamosi and said that he should stop parading himself as Oloffa. However, as destiny cannot be changed, but can only be delayed, the Supreme Court under Justice Walter Samuel Nkanu Onnoghen, GCON, the then Chief Justice of Nigeria toed the line of historical evidence, followed the

authority of evidence and quashed the rotational clause inserted by the Apeal Court, since it was not in the state gazzette of the sawyer commission, which was the authority on the matter in question. The gazzette recognizes two ruling houses but never talked of rotation.
Since his ascension to the throne, Offa had known several changes for good in terms of development, social and economic as well as national recognition to the town. Oba Gbadamosi  is a unanimously crowned monarch, loved and adored by his people. He has piloted the rebuilding of Offa Palace to an ultramodern edifice of international status, facilitated the citing of National Open University to Offa, Establishment of MOPOL 68 Base in Offa to aid security in and around Offa and he maintains good relationship with government and other members of Kwara traditional council.

Asked to comment about his experience and achiement since ten years on the throne, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi said that his achievements so far are acts of God and supports gotten from the illustrious sons and daughters of Offa, who had over the years demonstrated their  love for Offa and their pride as indigenes of the historical town.

Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi said that his achievements so far calls for relaxation but that he is just beginning but will take things one after the other and ensure that as God grants him the ability, life and good health, “Offa will become a town that others will envy and copy”, quoting his exact words.

As the sons and daughters of Offa celebrate with HRM Oba Mufutau Oloyede Okikiola Gbadamosi, Esuwoye II, Oloffa of Offa, all and sundry wish the great monarch, long life, good health and prosperity as everyone give one testimony that Oba Gbadamosi is humility personified, loving, caring and patriotic head over his people.

Giving an account of his experience being the better half of the monarch, Olori Misitura Gbadamosi said so much about her husband. She said: “When I first met him through his uncle, I never knew he has any link with royalty as a prince or whether he would someday become a king. Now that he is king, it adds to my joy and I thank God for elevating us.”

Speaking about the six year legal battle over the stool of Oloffa, Olori Misitura Gbadamosi again said: “At a point I asked him if he used any power other than of God to look for the position and when he said “no”, I assured him that we shall not look to any man for help but to God. I told my husband that it is Gods will that you will be king and he answered our prayers, we came out victorious from the court cases. The happiest day of my life was the day that the supreme court finally gave the verdict that we won the case, Alhamudlilah, God is indeed great.”

Olori Misitura Gbadamosi is a devoted housewife who still cooks for her husband and never abdicate her matrimonial responsibility to anyone. No wonder, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi said that he had all he needs in a woman from his wife abd so would not need a second wife. The ancient home of potatoe ‘Anomo’ is indeed blessed with Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi as their monarch.

What magic does he do to achieve so much feat over his people, Oba Gbadamosi said: “I lead by example. When I have vision for any community development project, I first place down my personal donation, then my subjects in their show of love for the town will rally round me and in no time, the projects gets executed. This had been the culture of Offa people, we are at the forefront, leading in self development projects while other communities follow”

Ten years on the throne Offa is getting better and the people are happy for it. “My dream for Offa is that someday, Offa will be at the helm of affairs in Nigeria as I see several of my subjects in very high positions of authority, doing well and helping other sons and daughters.”

From our end, we celebrate Oloffa of Offa and wish him more years on the throne.
